KwikyCar is a peer-to-peer vehicle rental platform that connects renters with private vehicle owners. Once verified, renters can browse available vehicles, enquire with us, book, and arrange collection or delivery. All bookings, payments, and communications happen securely through our platform.
KwikyCar does not own or rent vehicles directly. We simply introduce verified renters to verified owners. As such, we are not responsible for any issues, disagreements, or incidents that may arise between users. However, we enforce very strong terms and conditions to protect both parties — you can view them here.
All users—both renters and vehicle owners—must undergo a strict verification process before being allowed to use the KwikyCar platform. This includes the submission and review of valid identification such as a passport or national ID card, driving licence, and for vehicle owners, the car’s registration and insurance documents.
Verification can take up to 72 hours, as we take the process extremely seriously for the safety and peace of mind of all users, as you would appreciate. Vehicle owners can register and list their car, bike, or pickup by uploading basic details, photos, the registration document, and valid insurance. We’ll verify your identity and documents before your listing goes live.
Payment is made within 24 hours after the rental ends, provided there are no disputes. Funds are transferred directly to your bank account, minus a 20% administration fee.
Renters are responsible for returning the vehicle in the same condition and with the same fuel level. We strongly advise taking photos of the vehicle (inside and out) at pickup and drop-off. If there’s damage, contact us immediately with evidence.
Some owners choose to install low-cost GPS trackers to monitor their vehicle’s location during a rental. While not mandatory, it’s a recommended extra layer of protection.
Yes, all renters must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driving licence suitable for the type of vehicle being rented.
In the event of an accident, renters should notify the owner and local authorities immediately. Take photos, file a police report if required, and inform KwikyCar through the platform. Insurance details and support will be provided to assist with the claims process.
Please note that in certain circumstances, the renter’s details may be shared with third parties, such as insurance companies, legal authorities, or emergency services, if required and necessary to manage the situation responsibly and in compliance with local laws.
Yes. We take data protection seriously. All information is stored securely, and we only collect what’s necessary for safe renting and verification. We never share names, addresses, emails, or phone numbers with third parties without your consent, except where legally required or in specific situations such as insurance claims.

Yes. Both renters and owners can cancel bookings, but cancellation terms depend on timing and circumstances. Late cancellations may result in penalties or loss of booking fees. Always communicate early through the platform if plans change.
Please respect the other party’s time and effort — cancellations can be very inconvenient, especially if they are last-minute. Think carefully before cancelling a booking and do your best to honour confirmed arrangements wherever possible.
